It would be fun to do the nativity because we didn't get to do it this year - if you guys want to. Can everyone come? We hope so.

Grandma's Christmas Party

Grandma had a wonderful party for the grand kids. I think everyone thought it was the best. We all are so excited for this new tradition. The kids made cookies, decorated ornaments, decorated bags, got cute bears, had a talent show, made gingerbread houses, Decorated door hangers, posed for a picture in front of the Christmas tree, and enjoyed a lunch of mac and cheese with chocolate milk. Who could ask for a better day?

We took several pictures of all the kids. You can never take to many.

Kobe decorating his gingerbread house.

Paeton says, "Not all treats are treated equal!"

Reeghan and Emma rolling out the cookies.

Travis was the designated Elf. We couldn't have gotten those cookies done with out him!

Tim was another Elf. Here he is putting together the goodie bags.

I think licking your fingers is part of the job description.

Joseph is proudly displaying his apron.

Tyler and Kai thoughtfully constructing there houses.

Sydney is helping her mommy decorate her bag.

You just want to pick her up and give her a sqish!

Allie having just as much fun if not more decorating Sydney's bag.
And you think your not photogenic?

Hope and Kaylee searching for the vowels.

Sarah and Paeton making a masterpiece.

Grandma helping Skylar put her house together.

"Nobody said I could eat just a few, right?"

"Which one should I use first?"

"Yes, I found the perfect one"

"Don't interrupt an artist at work"

What handsome boys!

Train them up in the way they should go.

Travis teaching them how it is done.
"Yummm!"
Princess Kaylee decorating her palace.

"I get to eat this stuff, Right?"

Family is your best friend!

Thanks Grandma!

This picture makes me sad because I realize how old this little boy is getting.

Welcome to I am Chapman

I thought that a blog would be easier to keep up then the web site. Anyone can post with there own ID.
That way we could use this space to write info we want everyone to know about and a place we could upload pictures from our family events.

Here is the information I took down from our family meeting
For Hope and Tory, since you left early we made decisions for you, if you want to change anything just let me know.

We decided that we would each take a month and plan the family b-day party. You would be in charge of making food assignments and the time and place. I was thinking the first Saturday of every month would be a good standby.

Dec- Sean and Allie
Jan- Trent and Sarah
Feb- Ryan and Susan
Mar- Kyle and Amy
Apr- Tory and Orchids
May- Mom and Dad
June- Hope and Travis
July- Trent and Sarah
Aug- Kyle and Amy
Sep- Mom and Dad
Oct- Sean and Allie
Nov- Ryan and Susan

We thought it would be a good time to give a 7 minute devotional (a chance to improve our speaking skills as well as a chance to share what we are learning about) The only requirements are that it is uplifting and motivational.

We also talked about Family traditions and what we would like to do for Thanksgiving.

*Amy said she would be in charge of starting a family Gratitude book.
*Dad said he would buy the tickets for the movie after the big feast (get your money to him the Wednesday before)
*We decided that we would run the first annual Chapman Turkey trot. Sarah said she would map the course for us. We will run at 7 in the morning. That way we will have plenty of time to cook.
*Ryan wants a B-ball game and he said he will put that together. (I leave a side note here reminding all who play that this is a day of thanksgiving, Remember how lucky we are to be such a close family ;)

Moving on... We are going to start a family date night starting this Friday. We are going to do sealings/baptisms for the dead at 6 and then go to dinner afterwards.
The next month we are going to have it will be in January and we will be listening to a tape set Dad and Mom have. I am not sure the date on that.

We also talked about having a New years party but we did no planning on that. We will plan that on Thanksgiving.

The boys decided that they are going to go to the temple every other Tuesday morning starting, when?

Mom also had the great idea for a family calling tree. When there is something she wants us to know about she will first call Ryan and then he will call Hope. Oldest to youngest, when you are called you call the person just younger then you all the way down to Lindsay.

Welcome!

This is the new family blog. If you want to be able to post on it just let us know and you can post events, photos, etc.
